Hugging Face Unveils Two Humanoid Robots

Hugging Face has introduced two new humanoid robots — HopeJR and Reachy Mini, as reported by TechCrunch

HopeJR is a full-sized humanoid bot with 66 degrees of freedom. It can walk and move its arms, and is priced at approximately $3000.

Reachy Mini is a desktop gadget capable of moving its head, speaking, listening, and is used for testing AI applications. It is priced around $250-300.

Hugging Face has not specified the exact timeline for the robots’ release. The first units are expected to be shipped by the end of 2025. Currently, a waiting list is open, noted the company’s co-founder and CEO, Clément Delangue.

Both robots are open-source, allowing anyone to examine their operational principles.

In April, Hugging Face developer Julien Delavande created the AI Energy Score tool, which helps determine the amount of electricity consumed by an AI query.
