In Dagestan, 254 mining devices operated on stolen electricity

In two weeks, security forces seized three illegally connected mining farms in Dagestan’s Novolaksky District, with a total of 254 devices. The press service of the municipal district said this.

One of the farms was found in a metal container on the grounds of a maintenance station along the Caucasus Highway. It consisted of 100 ASIC miners. Another consisted of 40 devices and was located in a non-residential premises.

The third farm, consisting of 114 graphics cards, was identified with the help of FSB officers.

All mining setups had been operating for about one to two months. They have since been halted, the equipment seized and power shut off.

Law enforcement authorities have launched investigations into all identified cases.
