In Moscow, unknown assailants stole 17.7 million rubles under the pretext of cryptocurrency exchange

In central Moscow, assailants stole 17.7 million rubles from three men under the pretext of transferring funds into cryptocurrency, according to law enforcement officials, writes «ТАСС».

In one of the offices on 1st Krasnogvardeysky Drive, unknown individuals, by deception under the pretext of topping up an electronic wallet, seized the funds of the three men.

The total loss amounted to 17,770,970 rubles.

A criminal case has been opened for fraud; the suspects face up to 10 years in prison.

Earlier, a resident of Salekhard lost about 626,000 rubles in cryptocurrency fraud.
