In Russia, a computer vision system called “Mask” is being developed. It will analyse data from video cameras and identify people without personal protective equipment, writes RT, citing the press service of the National Technology Initiative (NTI).

The system will be able to analyse images from cameras captured from different angles and under varying lighting conditions.

It is expected to help monitor mask-wearing in hospitals and government institutions and will alert responsible staff about violations through an app.

“Mask” is designed to reduce the spread of coronavirus and other infections.
\n
Earlier, due to the pandemic, Moscow authorities also obliged to transfer at least 30% of workers to remote work and to pass on information about such employees, including personal data.
