In the Far North, a scammer 'traded' Bitcoin worth half a million rubles

A 50-year-old Nadym resident became the victim of a scammer who promised to sell her cryptocurrency. Regional police report.

According to the victim, she met the ‘seller’ in a Telegram currency-exchange chat. He provided her bank details, to which the Russian woman transferred 492,000 rubles. However, after that the ‘seller’ stopped responding.

A criminal case has been opened into large-scale fraud.

Earlier in Moscow, gave away 600 thousand rubles and €5,000 for cryptocurrency, but received nothing in return.
