Indian cryptocurrency exchange CoinDCX launches Bitcoin-trading app

The largest cryptocurrency exchange in India, CoinDCX, has launched an app for buying and selling digital currencies, aimed at new market entrants. It offers trading of assets with lower nominal values.

Company representatives said they plan to attract 50 million customers through the CoinDCX Go app.

The platform offers trading of Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Litecoin (LTC), Chainlink (LINK), Tether (USDT), Ripple (XRP) and other altcoins in pairs with the Indian rupee.

The custodial service BitGo provided CoinDCX Go users with secure storage of cryptocurrencies and insurance coverage. The parties formed the partnership in May 2020.

CoinDCX Go implements AI-powered anti-money-laundering algorithms.

Earlier, the Indian crypto exchange raised $3 million in a Series A round, led by the operator of the BitMEX trading platform.

In May 2020, Polychain Capital and Coinbase’s venture arm invested in CoinDCX $2.5 million.

As reported in December 2020, Block.one, the EOS project’s backer, led CoinDCX’s investment round for $13.9 million.
