Interest in cryptocurrencies reaches record highs

The number of cryptocurrency-related Google searches has reached all-time highs.

The peak occurred during the week of May 9-15, when Bitcoin’s price slid to the psychological level of $50,000.

One driver could have been Ethereum rally, another — Dogecoin hype.

On May 18, the number of searches for \”What happened on the cryptocurrency market today\” rose by 850%, and \”Should I sell my digital assets\” by 400%.

Earlier, a sharp drop in cryptocurrency market quotes on May 19 caused outages on Bitcoin exchanges.

Earlier, Arcane Research reported that the cryptocurrency Fear and Greed Index had fallen to its lowest readings since April 2020.
