A recently launched investment fund from the Lombard Odier unit of the Swiss bank has started focusing on asset tokenisation companies, reports The Block.

The new strategy was announced in May. Since then, the fund has attracted $250 million, despite unfavourable market conditions.

\n

The Lombard Odier fund is aimed at revenue-generating firms with a market capitalisation of at least $500 million. According to its representatives, the market currently lacks firms specialising in tokenisation.

\n

At present, the fund has already invested in a company engaged in consulting and software development, the name of which is not disclosed.

\n

In addition to tokenisation-focused companies, the fund is looking at fintech firms, including those specialising in cybersecurity and payments.

\n

Over the next five years, the investment fund plans to broaden its strategy in the digital assets space.

Basler Kantonalbank intends to offer clients the opportunity to invest in Bitcoin next year.
