Joe Lubin Dismisses Crisis at Ethereum Foundation

Joe Lubin says Ethereum Foundation changes reflect a focus shift, not a crisis.

Ethereum co-founder and Consensys CEO Joe Lubin stated that budget cuts, personnel changes, and departures from the Ethereum Foundation do not indicate a crisis but rather reflect the organization’s narrowing focus on developing the core protocol and maintaining neutrality. According to him, adoption and institutional development should be undertaken by other ecosystem participants. Lubin also linked the next phase of Ethereum’s growth to AI agents and agentic commerce; the network already processes about 2 million transactions per day.
