John McAfee exits Ghost, the private cryptocurrency project

Entrepreneur John McAfee announced that he is leaving the Ghost project. He cited the current management’s inability to lead it to success.

“I am leaving the $Ghost project. The management is not capable of leading it to success. There is no doubt that it will fail. I tried to explain to them the fundamental principles of management, but I was not heard. I apologise to those I led astray,” — McAfee wrote.

The privacy-focused Ghost coin, announced by the creator of the McAfee antivirus, was unveiled in April this year.

Later, PIVX developers said that McAfee copied 20 of 26 pages of their white paper. McAfee did not deny this, but threatened a lawsuit against PIVX, as the project has open source code.

In June, McAfee announced the launch of the decentralized exchange GHOST. It was planned that the Ghost blockchain would later be integrated with the Telegram messenger into an app called TeleGHOST.
