The Just Eat delivery network in France has begun accepting Bitcoin. The option appeared among the payment options for orders.
On the page it states that the payment provider is the cryptocurrency processing service BitPay.
Just Eat does not charge fees for Bitcoin payments, but warned customers that for this payment method they must create a digital wallet by downloading ‘special software or an app’.
According to the network’s site, it comprises 15,000 restaurants across France. In addition to cash and cards, Just Eat customers can use PayPal, the network’s vouchers, and now the first cryptocurrency.
Earlier reports indicated plans for over 25,000 French retailers to accept Bitcoin.
