TRON founder Justin Sun bought Picasso paintings and Andy Warhol for $22 million. He now plans to tokenize them through the JUST NFT Fund.
For Pablo Picasso’s ‘Femme nue couchée au collier’, Justin Sun paid $20 million, and for ‘Three Self Portraits’ by Andy Warhol — $2 million. Both paintings were sold at Christie’s on March 23.
Sun said this is ‘an important milestone in the history of the JUST NFT Fund’.
‘I believe that in the future the JUST NFT Fund catalogue will include more world-class works by leading artists. Stay tuned for more,’ said the founder of TRON.
In March 2021, Justin Sun created the JUST NFT Fund for artists and artworks in the form of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) valued at $1 million. The fund’s first NFT was the painting ‘OCEAN FRONT’ by Michael Winkelman, known by the pseudonym Beeple. On March 23, Sun bought an NFT for $6 million.
