The Binance NFT marketplace, together with the team of Atlas, one of Ukraine’s largest music festivals, announced the launch of a collection of non-fungible tokens as part of the ‘Hero Cities’ project. ForkLog UA reports that Binance representatives told them.
Popular Ukrainian artists and musicians participated in creating the collection. It is dedicated to 12 Ukrainian cities — Mariupol, Kyiv, Bucha, Hostomel, Irpin, Kherson, Volnovakha, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Mykolaiv, Okhtyrka and Izium. The project aims to draw attention to the devastation caused by the war.
Each token holder will receive exclusive merch autographed by one of the musicians who serves as an ‘ambassador’ for that city. Among the celebrities joining the project are Eurovision 2022 winner Kalush Orchestra, THE HARDKISS, Odin in a Canoe, Monatik, ONUKA and others.
The collection is limited — NFTs for each city are available in only five copies.
The auction will begin on May 31 and run for a week. All proceeds will be donated to the Music Saves UA charitable foundation to help families in the listed cities.
Earlier on the Binance marketplace they released an NFT collection for the football club Shakhtar to raise funds for humanitarian aid to Ukrainians.
