Kazakh Authorities Seize 1,257 ASIC Miners from Fake Motor Centre

A court in Kazakhstan has sentenced three organisers of a mining farm disguised as an engine processing centre in Astana. This was reported by the Financial Monitoring Agency (FMA).

According to the case materials, from 2022 to May 2024, the suspects engaged in cryptocurrency mining without the necessary license. This activity earned them 143.2 million tenge (~$300,000).

During a search, law enforcement seized 1,257 ASIC miners, industrial cooling fans, and a transformer substation.

The guilt of all three individuals in illegal entrepreneurship was proven in court, and they were fined.

Assets worth over 900 million tenge ($1.73 million) were confiscated in favour of the state, including two cars and mining equipment. Additionally, the criminal income of 143.2 million tenge was recovered.

The verdict has come into legal force.

Earlier, Kazakhstan’s FMA reported that since the beginning of 2025, it had dismantled 24 financial pyramids, including those accepting cryptocurrency deposits.
