Kazakhstan’s president Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Islambek Saltzhanov, head of the local Blockchain Technologies Association. During the meeting, the president stated that authorities regard new technologies as a priority direction for the economy’s development.
As reported on the president of Kazakhstan’s site, Saltzhanov described joint work with the government to create favourable conditions for attracting international companies and investors for the development of blockchain.
He also noted that \”the tuning of tax policy measures\” for market participants would provide additional revenue to the budget.
Earlier this year, authorities ordered the creation of a working group for the development of the cryptocurrency industry and blockchain technologies, to be established by April 30.
