Kemerovo resident loses more than 700,000 rubles in attempt to buy mining equipment

A resident of Kemerovo reported to the police that an unknown person had stolen 700,000 rubles from him, with whom the victim had arranged to purchase cryptocurrency mining equipment. The incident was reported on the сайте МВД.

According to law enforcement, the applicant saw an advertisement on one of the websites offering the possibility of earning from cryptocurrencies. After registering on the page, the offender contacted him, presenting himself as an employee of a company selling mining equipment.

\n\n

The resident of Kemerovo agreed to purchase the devices and transferred 700,000 rubles to the seller’s account. However, after a month the equipment had not been delivered, and the offender ceased to respond.

\n\n

The police have opened a criminal case for fraud; an investigation is underway.

\n\n

Earlier, a resident of the Kemerovo region became a victim of a female fraudster, who offered her to invest in cryptocurrencies.
