Kiss bassist Gene Simmons bought Bitcoin for a seven-figure sum

The Kiss bassist Gene Simmons discussed his seven-figure investment in Bitcoin.

“I bought Bitcoin for a seven-figure sum a few months ago. Do I think the asset will push beyond its recent highs? You bet,” wrote Simmons.

In recent days, Bitcoin crossed the $48,000 mark after Tesla said that invested in digital gold $1.5 billion.

The rally in Bitcoin’s price drew criticism from some financiers. Timothy Lane, Deputy Governor of the Bank of Canada, described the Bitcoin bull run as a ‘speculative mania’.

Former head of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) within the U.S. Treasury Brian Brooks described Tesla’s investment in digital gold as both captivating and frightening.

Former Goldman Sachs investment chief Gary Black sold shares of the electric-car maker after the company moved part of its reserves into Bitcoin.

In early February Gene Simmons invested in Dogecoin and XRP.
