KuCoin launches $100 million fund for NFT creators
The KuCoin cryptocurrency exchange announced the launch of the Creators Fund with $100 million in assets. Its aim is to fund early-stage startups working in the NFT space.
The fund is a joint initiative of KuCoin’s Windvane NFT marketplace and the exchange’s investment arm, KuCoin Ventures.
As a first step, Creators Fund will invite 99 well-known NFT creators to join Windvane. The platform will connect companies and artists issuing their tokens with the KuCoin audience.
The Windvane team plans to add trading of tokens issued on Ethereum, BNB Chain, Flow and other popular NFT networks. The marketplace will also host initial NFT offerings — INO (Initial NFT Offering).
In late December 2021, the KuCoin administration announced that the number of registered users on the platform had reached 10 million.
Earlier in November 2021, the exchange launched a $100 million fund for investments in metaverses.
