KuCoin, OKX and Bybit announce listing of SUI token

Cryptocurrency exchanges KuCoin, OKX and Bybit announced the listing of SUI — the native token of the Sui Network protocol.

On April 22, KuCoin will run a token sale using a subscription mechanism. Ecosystem participants from a separate list will be able to purchase up to 1,500 SUI. Among them, 16,666 tickets will be drawn.

Users can apply to purchase up to 10,000 SUI at a price of 0.1 USDT using lottery tickets. Among the latter, 22,500 winners will be selected.

OKX will open SUI trading on April 20. The exchange plans to sell 225 million SUI at $0.10 per coin. There will be 2.25 million tickets in total — each allows the purchase of up to 100 SUI. A single user cannot win more than 100 tickets.

Bybit, via a lottery, will allocate to participants in the Sui Network ecosystem the right to purchase SUI at $0.03 for sums from $10 to $45.

In December 2022, the Sui Foundation revealed details of the native token distribution after the mainnet launch. More than 50% of the issuance will be allocated to developing the project.

In April 2023, cofounder and product director of Mysten Labs Adeni Abiodun denied rumors of an SUI airdrop.

At the end of March, the team launched a “permanent testnet” for Sui Network, which will continue to run after the mainnet release. The mainnet launch is planned for the second quarter of this year.
