The KuCoin exchange polled 3,608 Twitter and LinkedIn users about Web3. A brief report was published on the KuCoin blog, with the full version available to download from Google Drive.

30% of respondents said they do not believe in Web3’s success. The remaining participants can be divided into professionals and enthusiasts.
\n\n
The share of the professionals is 16%. They worked on projects related to cryptocurrencies, metaverses, DeFi, NFT, DAO and decentralized applications:
\n\n
- 59% of respondents were under 30;
- 24% worked in Web3 full-time, 76% — freelancers, part-timers and entrepreneurs;
- the most popular type of projects is metaverses;
- 53% are satisfied with their careers.
\n\n
The share of enthusiasts is 54%. They are interested in Web3, but have not worked in the sector:
\n\n
- more than 50% of respondents want to get jobs in the Web3 project departments of R&D, marketing, product management and data analytics;
- 64% of respondents like the prospects of work: remote work, opportunities for personal growth and the industry\’s development potential.
\n\n
KuCoin also collected gender statistics in the Web3 sector:
\n\n
- women professionals are more active in building their careers;
- men enthusiasts are more inclined to invest in Web3 projects;
- 49% of women professionals worked in projects on a part-time basis, 33% — full-time;
- among engineers and developers, roughly equal numbers of men and women;
- 41% of men and 27% of women founded their own Web3 projects;
- one of the main obstacles to working in the segment is the lack of training resources.

KuCoin is a Seychelles-based cryptocurrency exchange offering spot, margin and P2P trading for 700 assets. The platform is developing its own Web3 ecosystem: the KuCoin Community Chain blockchain, the KuCoin Wallet, the Windvane NFT marketplace and DeFi applications.
