
KuCoin’s user base grows to 18 million users
For the first half of 2022, KuCoin’s user base increased by 219% year-on-year, surpassing the 18 million user mark.

Of 9.75 million new clients, 6.75 million are residents of Asian countries (+659%). Growth of users from Latin America, Africa and the Middle East was 216%, 152% and 142% respectively.
The platform’s trading volume for the period exceeded $2 trillion (+180%). Daily turnover of the spot market at its May peak reached a record $11 billion, while futures turnover stood at $23 billion.
Since the start of the year KuCoin has added 137 crypto assets to its listings, bringing their number to more than 700.
The platform offered BTC, ETH and USDT in pairs with the euro and the Brazilian real, and pledged to add support for other fiat currencies.
From January to June the exchange introduced Web3-кошелек KuCoin Wallet and launched фонд на $100 млн для создателей NFT.
The publication of the report followed rumors of the company’s insolvency. CEO Johnny Lyu warned of possible legal action from detractors.
In May, KuCoin raised $150 million at a valuation of $10 billion.
