Lawyer for OneCoin scammer disbarred

A five-judge panel has disbarred Mark Scott, the lawyer tied to the scandal-plagued OneCoin pyramid. Cointelegraph reports.

The decision bars him from acting as a lawyer or providing legal advice before any court or other government body in New York State. If Scott wins his appeal, he may petition to lift the sanctions.

Scott was previously found guilty of laundering $400 million through a network of fraudulent investment funds and international offshore zones. Scott personally earned $50 million from these schemes. He faces up to 50 years in prison.
