The token claim will open on June 20.
LayerZero Labs co-founder and CEO Bryan Pellegrino announced that 1.28 million wallets qualify for the airdrop.
According to the final model, early transactions will receive three times more tokens. Those interacting with LayerZero after the snapshot will receive an additional 10 ZRO per operation. For costless transfers, the distribution volume is reduced by 80%.
Pellegrino noted that an initiative launched in early May to combat airdrop hunters successfully returned nearly 10 million tokens to the community.
Some verified users shared their results with the head of LayerZero Labs.

Pellegrino admitted that the team was unable to exclude all “sybils” from the distribution. The developers plan to publish the final list before the token claim.
In April 2023, LayerZero Labs raised $120 million in a Series B funding round, valuing the company at $3 billion.
In December, the project team announced the airdrop without disclosing any details. CoinGecko experts included the LayerZero token distribution among the most anticipated for 2024.
