Lazarus hackers blamed for Stake breach worth $41 million

The recent hack of the Stake betting platform is attributed to the North Korean hacker group Lazarus Group. FBI reports this.

According to the agency, during the incident on September 4, the cybercriminals withdrew funds from Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain and Polygon networks to 33 addresses under their control.

Earlier, experts reported that the hackers attacked Stake’s actively used hot wallets, the platform’s private keys were not compromised.

According to TRM Labs, since 2018 North Korean criminal groups have stolen digital assets totalling $2 billion in more than 30 incidents.
