The Canadian crypto-lending platform Ledn conducted operations with Alameda Research, affiliated with FTX, which is undergoing bankruptcy. The Block reports, citing co-founder Mauricio Di Bartolomeo.

According to him, Ledn fired its chief commercial officer and the senior data-processing engineer as part of staff optimization. He noted that in the past year the team had doubled, boosting the potential for growth in retail lending.

The company previously said there were no operations with Genesis Global Capital, which, according to reports, is close to bankruptcy. The latter had been Ledn’s main partner, but the firm diversified its lender base.

As Bloomberg reported, in July 2022 Ledn made an offer to the struggling rival BlockFi.

On November 28, BlockFifiled for bankruptcy protection under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code.
