Mantle Network launches alpha version of its mainnet
L2-project Mantle Network has launched an alpha version of its mainnet and set up a $200 million ecosystem fund.

The mainnet launch was preceded by six months of development and testing, as well as several security audits. During this period the network processed more than 14 million transactions.
Mantle combines a modular architecture with the security of Ethereum and decentralized blockchain features. A distinctive aspect of this approach is the separation of execution, data availability and consensus across different layers.
The platform uses Optimistic Rollups and interacts with the EigenLayer restaking protocol.
According to Mantle representatives, the development of layer-2 solutions opens up new use cases such as “advanced blockchain games” and DeFi services with low fees.
The mainnet launch was backed by the blockchain games accelerator Game7, Web3-project HyperPlay, the EduDAO educational initiative, and infrastructure projects Ankr, Bullieverse, Covalent, LayerZero and The Graph.
The ecosystem fund of $200 million was created in collaboration with venture firms Animoca Ventures, Dragonfly Capital, Figment Capital, Hashkey Capital, Pantera Capital, QCP Capital and SevenX Ventures. Mirana Ventures will manage the structure.
In May, the decentralized autonomous organization BitDAO announced its merger with Mantle Network to create a unified ecosystem under its brand.
