Masterchain joins the DFA issuer registry

The Bank of Russia присвоил the blockchain platform Masterchain (LLC «Distributed Registry Systems») the status of operator of the information system for issuing ЦФА. ForkLog was informed by company representatives.

«Мастерчейн» will provide the market with a platform for token issuance, as well as licensed software to organise the work of future system operators.

In the near term, Masterchain will onboard clients to the platform for issuing and trading DFA. The company is also considering connecting external agents and brokers to attract an even larger number of issuers and investors.

“At the initial stage, the company will issue DFAs representing rights to monetary claims in the form of bonds, or as structured instruments tied to any kind of asset. In the future, other types of DFAs will be implemented: hybrid DFAs, DFAs representing a stake in a non-public joint-stock company, and rights to demand on issued securities,” the company said.

«Мастерчейн» already has a number of DFA issuance agreements with Russian firms. Among them are VTB Factoring, where the underlying asset will be a portfolio of obligations assigned to the factor, and developer «Dжи-групп», which plans to issue on the platform a token linked to the price per square metre of the under-construction housing.

As a reminder, licences for issuing DFA in Russia are also held by the platforms Atomyze, «Лайтхаус», Сбербанк and Альфа-банк.
