Complete decentralization is not necessary everywhere. Many users and businesses find it more comfortable to trust centralized services rather than smart contracts. This was stated by Max Krupyshev, co-founder and CEO of CoinsPaid, during the “Podcast Society” on ForkLog’s YouTube channel.
“My clients find it much easier to trust me than a smart contract. They understand who I am better than what a smart contract is,” he emphasized.
According to Krupyshev, centralized solutions are often more efficient and convenient for users—especially in the B2B segment, where trust, support, and clear boundaries of responsibility are critical.
On Regulation, AI Prospects, and the Power of Habit
The expert also commented on regulation, lamenting the lack of clear rules:
“The only thing worse than regulation is opaque regulation.”
Speaking about the integration of artificial intelligence in payment services, the expert expressed skepticism. In his view, there is currently no clear demand for AI solutions in the industry:
“AI agents in payments will not appear soon,” he added.
Additionally, Krupyshev highlighted the irrationality of user behavior. He noted that many continue to use the stablecoin USDT on the relatively expensive Tron network, ignoring more economical alternatives. According to him, this is a vivid example of how the power of habit influences blockchain choice when conducting transactions.
