Under the partnership, the Tezos brand will be represented by McLaren teams in Formula One and IndyCar, including on drivers’ suits. The primary drivers in McLaren F1 are Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo, and in Arrow McLaren SP — Patricio O’Ward and Felix Rosenqvist.
According to the press release, McLaren Racing will build on the Tezos blockchain a dedicated platform to offer fans NFTs of “their rich racing heritage and current drivers”.
The collaboration will also extend to e-commerce and esports.
“We at McLaren put the fans at the centre of everything we do. This is another partnership that allows us to enter the space where fans will be able to own key parts of our team,” said Lindsey Eckhouse, the company’s Director of Licensing, E-Commerce and Esports.
Earlier, Tezos’ NFT issuance partner became the Red Bull Racing Honda team from Formula One.
