
Media: Pantera Capital’s early-stage token fund down 71%.
The losses of one of Pantera Capital’s funds investing in early-stage tokens from January to September stood at 71%. This follows from an investor presentation that The Block managed to study.
The growth in the fund’s share value since its inception in 2017 has fallen to 372%.
In 2018 the decline reached 83%; in 2020 the value rose by 562%; in 2021 — 319%.
Investors pay a 3% management fee and a 30% performance fee.
“We can break away from other risk assets. In a year or two we will see a world in which many rate-sensitive assets will be lower than today, and blockchain-related assets will be much, much higher,” — написал CEO of the company Dan Morehead in a letter to shareholders.
Assets under management at Pantera Capital total $4.5 billion.
