The Soros Fund Management family office has given clients the ability to trade cryptocurrencies. reports The Street, citing two people familiar with the matter.
According to them, trading began a few weeks ago – in addition to Bitcoin, traders have access to a range of other digital assets.
The initiative lies with Soros Fund Management’s chief investment officer Dona Fitzpatrick, according to sources.
Earlier, Fitzpatrick said that the growth of the money supply in the United States ‘is a watershed for Bitcoin’.
‘The infrastructure around cryptocurrencies at the moment is quite interesting, and Soros Fund Management is investing in it,’ she said.
Earlier in March, the Soros family office participated in a funding round for a provider of crypto data Lukka. At that time, the fund explained its interest in Bitcoin by an economic crisis.
