MegaETH Developers Launch Public Testnet
The Ethereum-based L2 project MegaETH has launched a public testnet, boasting a claimed throughput of 20,000 TPS.
Introducing the MegaETH public testnet.

At the time of writing, around 30 applications have been launched on the testnet, including those from the trading platform GTE and the prediction market Guess.Best.
According to the MegaETH team, the network has achieved the desired block processing time of 10 ms—25 times faster than the 250 ms of the quickest rollup, Arbitrum.
Following the implementation of a proprietary parallelization mechanism, developers aim to reach a throughput of 100,000 TPS—a hypothetical target for L1 Ethereum, outlined by Vitalik Buterin in 2021.
Earlier in March, experts from Santiment recorded a decline in optimism regarding Ethereum.
