Menaskop Launches Free Web3 Course and Criticizes Influencers

Researcher Vladimir Menaskop has announced a free course on investing in Web3. He revealed this in a video on his YouTube channel.

The initiative is positioned as an alternative to paid educational products from influencers and bloggers. The course aims to systematize knowledge on crypto investments and is designed for a broad audience.

According to the researcher, investment experts should profit from their strategies, not from selling courses.

“If you are engaged in investing, if you are successful, you should earn from it. You should not earn from people,” he stated.

The course author emphasized that his experience and expertise are verifiable thanks to the open nature of the blockchain. He cited his crypto portfolios from 2017, publications about Bitcoin since 2012, and authorship of the first book on ICOs as examples.

The course program covers the main aspects of investing in Web3, including project analysis, working with DeFi protocols, and building an investment portfolio. Special attention is given to practical cases and the security of working with crypto assets.

During the video, Menaskop addressed several common misconceptions in the industry. He criticized the notion that NFTs are a scam, noting that most people fail to see the real application of the technology beyond digital images:

“NFTs are not a scam. Uniswap V3, Velodrome — these are all NFTs. What you know about pictures is a small 1-2%, everything else is hidden.”

The researcher touched upon the topic of ICOs. According to him, the percentage of fraud in this area is significantly lower than in traditional venture investing.
