According to the statement, the bounty program is part of the developers’ ongoing efforts to ensure maximum safety for users. The launch followed the start of MetaMask’s collaboration with Asset Reality — a solution helps recover stolen assets.
“HackerOne is a platform for finding bugs that uses a broad network of cybersecurity researchers and testers to identify and fix bugs of any scale on the Internet,” the developers explained.
Users who discover potential vulnerabilities can now submit reports via HackerOne. MetaMask warned that processing the report and carrying out the necessary procedures may take some time.
“We want to continue building a safer Web 3.0 [internet] — feel free to participate and do this together with us,” the MetaMask team wrote.
After submitting a report, please be patient as we process it and go through the proper procedures. 🔍
We want to keep building a safer and more accessible web3 — feel free to get involved and make it safer alongside us! ❤️

In April, the developers warned wallet users about the risks of storing data in Apple iCloud due to possible phishing attacks.
Earlier, the MetaMask team announced Bitcoin support in the app.
