The MetaMask team, in collaboration with OpenSea and Blockaid, has developed an experimental feature that notifies users when interacting with confirmed scam projects.
As part of our ongoing commitment to keep our community safe and secure, we’re working with our friends @opensea and @blockaid_ on an experimental feature in @MetaMask that will warn users when interacting with known scams. pic.twitter.com/MPn9yE7utD

The feature cross-checks addresses against OpenSea’s list of known scammers. It is also checked against a similar solution from Blockaid, which analyzes on-chain history for malicious behavior such as signature forgery and unauthorized withdrawals of assets from wallets.
In January, MetaMask, in collaboration with the HAPI implemented in the wallet’s test environment the ability to check smart contracts, tokens and addresses for risks.
