From September 4, Android and iOS users can download the full mobile version with the ability to interact with dApps. To sync history and import existing wallets, simply scan a QR code.
“Unlike standard wallets, you can use MetaMask Mobile to view Web3, open new dApps, and interact with them from anywhere at any time”, the blog says.
The mobile version includes key storage, secure login features, and the creation of passwords for decentralized applications. ETH purchases are possible via Apple Pay, cards, or payment systems, depending on the region. Russia is not yet included in the list of supported countries.
Currently, not all features of the browser extension are available in the mobile app. For example, users will not be able to connect hardware wallets Ledger and Trezor.
Earlier in August, MetaMask’s developers limited the use of their source code for commercial projects with more than 10,000 active users. They will need to sign an official agreement with the company.
