Metawin Crypto Casino Hacked for $4 Million

Metawin Crypto Casino Hacked for $4 Million

On November 3, the Metawin crypto casino lost over $4 million across Ethereum and Solana networks due to a wallet hack. This was reported by blockchain sleuth ZachXBT, citing a statement from the project’s CEO, Richard Skelhorn, on Discord.

Following the incident, withdrawals were temporarily halted to assess and ensure system stability. At the time of writing, the platform is operating normally.

Skelhorn promised to implement additional security controls for new users.

“Today we faced a challenge, but we have learned from it and will emerge stronger. Apologies for the temporary pause, everything will return to normal within an hour,” he wrote.

The stolen funds were transferred to KuCoin and HitBTC, ZachXBT reported. The CEO of Metawin covered the losses with personal funds and contacted the police.

In October, crypto projects lost $88 million in 20 hacks.
