Mexican billionaire allocates 10% of his portfolio to Bitcoin

The billionaire and founder of Grupo Salinas, Ricardo Salinas Pliego, said he invested 10% of his liquid portfolio in Bitcoin.

Salinas Pliego recommended to his followers the book The Bitcoin Pattern. According to him, the first cryptocurrency, “protects citizens from expropriation of assets by the state.”

Earlier, the billionaire posted a video showing garbage bags with Venezuelan bolívares.

Salinas Pliego sits second in Forbes’ Mexican billionaires list. The publication valued his wealth at $11.7 billion.

Earlier, billionaire Stanley Druckenmiller revealed his investments in Bitcoin. He suggested that the cryptocurrency could prove to be a better store of value than gold.
