Miami installs a crypto analogue of Wall Street’s Charging Bull
At the Bitcoin 2022 conference in Miami, mayor Francis Suarez unveiled a statue dubbed the “cryptobull.” He said the installation symbolises the city’s transformation into a “world capital of the crypto industry.”
“New York is the former financial center… I give you the Miami bull!”

«The future of finance is in Miami, and the capital now has its own bull,» Suarez wrote on Twitter.
The installation is a reference to the famous “Charging Bull” on Wall Street.
In contrast to its New York kin, the Miami bull is rendered in a cybernetic style and already features its famous “laser eyes.” Representatives of traditional finance have also noted another notable difference.

The crypto community seems to have liked the new statue. Morgan Creek Digital co-founder Anthony Pompliano wrote that “the bulls are in control,” and Binance chief Changpeng Zhao called the installation “pretty cool.”

In August 2021, in Miami launched the MiamiCoin project. The municipal token was developed by CityCoins and is aimed at providing additional revenue to the city budget.
In February 2022, Suarez announced that the city administration had received CityCoins’ first disbursement, amounting to $5.25 million.
I’m so excited to announce that the @CityofMiami has received its first-ever disbursement from @mineCityCoins totaling $5.25M.
This is a historic moment for our city to collaborate with an innovative project that creates resources for our city through innovation not taxation.

In November 2021 CityCoins said it would launch a similar product for New York.
