Microsoft to Integrate 3D Gaming into Copilot

Microsoft is actively working on incorporating 3D gaming capabilities into its artificial intelligence platform, Copilot. This is evidenced by an open job listing.

According to the posting, the company is seeking a senior software engineer in Beijing who specializes in 3D rendering engines, particularly Babylon.js, Three.js, and Unity.

“Are you passionate about games and interested in creating innovative solutions for billions of users? If you have experience in this field or a strong passion for it, this is the perfect opportunity for you,” the job description states.

Previously, Microsoft announced plans to make games a more significant part of Copilot. In February, it unveiled the AI model Muse, which will soon enable the creation of short interactive projects within the application.

The neural network is being trained on the multiplayer battle arena Bleeding Edge from Ninja Theory. It is capable of understanding the three-dimensional game world, game physics, and its response to player actions with a controller.

In May 2024, the corporation announced the integration of Copilot into video games like Minecraft.

Back in February, Microsoft released an application on macOS for the Copilot chatbot.

Earlier, the company taught the AI assistant to understand contextual information from the computer screen while surfing the internet.
