Mining Farm Discovered at Former Cannery in Dagestan

A large mining farm has been discovered in the village of Khadzhalmakhi, Dagestan, on the premises of a former cannery. This was reported by the acting director of “Dagenergo,” Arsen Gadzhiev.

The site was found to have 89 devices illegally connected to the power grid. According to Gadzhiev, the miners operated around the clock, overloading the infrastructure.

Preliminary estimates suggest the farm’s activities have caused damage amounting to “several million rubles.” Specialists are continuing their calculations and preparing materials for law enforcement agencies.

As reported by the Ministry of Energy, the ban on mining in Russia led to a reduction in energy consumption by 300 MW.
