The Israeli National Intelligence Service, Mossad, has opened a vacancy for a specialist in digital currencies and fintech, according to Ynet.
The agency is allegedly interested in using cryptocurrencies for anonymous payments to clients or for purchasing equipment, the outlet suggests.
The description states that the organisation is seeking “a technological leader in the field of financial technology and digital currencies for a role that includes leadership, initiation, planning and overseeing the development of systems.” The candidate is required to have at least three years of experience.
Among other vacancies at the intelligence agency are: a business consultant with experience in international trade, an expert to develop mechanical means for operation, and a cyber-researcher in the field of photonics.
Earlier in July 2021, authorities froze 84 cryptocurrency wallets allegedly controlled by the Hamas militant group. This organisation aims to destroy Israel and is recognised as a terrorist organisation in Israel, the European Union, the United States and several other countries.
Earlier, experts found that a Bitcoin wallet linked to the Hamas-affiliated group ‘Al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades’ received 3,370 BTC over four years.
