The wallet “1PQZw…DDJtK” subsequently transferred the coins to other addresses.

This marks the fifth Bitcoin transaction in the past two weeks, with the total amount of moved coins exceeding $2 billion. It remains unclear whether these operations are part of future distributions to creditors.

Previously, the exchange sent 34,371 BTC (~$2.3 billion) to two unknown wallets. This operation was the largest in recent months, following a transfer of 500 BTC on November 1. Earlier transactions were recorded at the end of September.

In May, Mt.Gox began moving its holdings for the first time in five years, which at that time amounted to 137,892 BTC valued at $9.35 billion.

In July, the exchange’s trustee began compensating users through authorized platforms. At the end of the month, Kraken and Bitstamp reported receiving and distributing the assets.

However, ForkLog discovered that the compensation process is not proceeding smoothly.

The management of Mt.Gox has postponed the deadline for compensation payments to October 31, 2025.
