The ninth studio album by British rock band Muse, titled Will of the People, will be released in a limited edition in the NFT format based on Polygon. The Guardian reports.
The release is scheduled for August 26 on the eco-friendly Serenade platform, which helps individual creators and collectives monetise their popularity through NFTs.
One thousand tokens will go on sale at 20 pounds sterling each (about $25). The NFT contains the album in high resolution and the digital signatures of the members of Muse.
Buyers will be able to pay for the tokens with bank cards or crypto wallets.
Formed in 1994, Muse has won two Grammys in 2011 and 2016 in the Best Rock Album category for The Resistance and Drones, respectively. The group has also been nominated for many other music awards.
Back in May, Muse frontman Matthew Bellamy invested in Pebble, which has raised $6.2 million. The startup is developing an app that allows earning 5–9% annual yields on deposits in the stablecoin USDC.
Earlier American rappers Eminem and Snoop Dogg released a music video in collaboration with the popular NFT collection Bored Ape Yacht Club.
