In a conversation with Nascar.com Cassill noted that he is no stranger to digital assets and actively uses the Voyager Digital app.
“This [cryptocurrency] is something I’m familiar with; they’re convenient for me and I understand well what I’m willing to risk and what I need to pay my bills,” the driver added.
Cassill’s Chevrolet Camaro will be painted in a livery featuring the broker’s branding. On June 19 he will compete in the Tennessee Lottery 250 at Nashville Superspeedway.

According to the driver, the Voyager Digital partnership will allow him to focus on racing rather than chasing sponsors. Cassill will be paid in Litecoin (LTC) and Voyager Token (VGX).
Cryptocurrency companies are increasingly funding major sporting events. In March 2021 the bitcoin exchange Gemini became sponsor of the oldest boat regatta between the rowing clubs of Oxford and Cambridge universities in the United Kingdom.
In May the asset-management firm Grayscale Investment became sponsor of the NFL’s New York Giants NFL.
Earlier in May the Ed Carpenter Racing team announced a partnership with Zap’s Strike service. On May 30, its driver Rinus VeeKay competed in the Indianapolis 500 in a Chevrolet with a Bitcoin-themed livery.
