3iQ Corp and CoinShares to Launch Bitcoin ETF in Canada

Asset manager 3iQ Corp has struck a partnership with CoinShares to launch a Bitcoin ETF in Canada.

The companies expect regulatory approval. They anticipate that listing on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) under tickers BTCQ.U (for US dollars) and BTCQ (for Canadian dollars) will take place in early April.

\n\n\n\n

In April 2020, 3iQ Corp launched Canada’s first Bitcoin fund. It now manages nearly $2 billion.

\n\n\n\n

In March 2021, CoinShares listed its shares on Nasdaq First North Growth Market in Stockholm.

\n\n\n\n

In February 2021, Canada registered the first Bitcoin ETF. On the Toronto Stock Exchange it trades under the ticker BTCC.
