Agibot Unveils AI for Humanoids

Agibot has launched the Genie Operator-1 (GO-1) AI model for humanoid robots, enabling them to quickly understand and execute tasks.

Founded by former Huawei employee Peng Zhihui, the company introduced a neural network designed to serve as the brain for robots, aiding in their learning and adaptation.

“Bots will no longer be confined to laboratories; they will be able to adapt to changing real-world conditions. They will understand natural language instructions and reason beyond pre-programmed procedures,” Agibot stated.

GO-1 is based on vision models that transmit large volumes of images and videos to humanoids for a better understanding of human actions. Planning algorithms assist the robot in devising steps and executing movements to accomplish tasks.

The developed system can learn from videos. In a demonstration video, humanoids are seen preparing and serving toast, distributing badges, and pouring coffee. According to Agibot, the company’s machines have improved task performance thanks to the new AI.

Earlier, Figure introduced its own artificial intelligence, Helix, for integration with robots. According to the creators, the model can “reason like a human.”

Previously, the company withdrew from an agreement with OpenAI after making a “significant breakthrough” in the development of artificial intelligence for humanoids.
