AI16Z Team Plans Tokenomics Overhaul and L1 Network Launch

Developers of the AI project ai16z (AI16Z) are considering a revamp of their tokenomics and the potential launch of their own layer-one blockchain. This was revealed in a post published on the forum.

The proposed plan includes the release of a platform similar to Pump.fun for token launches. It could become a hub for future AI platforms within the Eliza ecosystem. AI16Z will serve as the base currency for interactions between agents.

The launchpad platform may implement various monetization mechanisms such as launch fees, ai16z token staking, and strategic liquidity pool pairs.

The proposed L1 blockchain is aimed at AI applications.

On December 29, the ai16z token reached a market capitalization of $1.5 billion, before declining to $1.4 billion.

AI16Z grants holders the right to participate in the DAO, allowing them to vote on the project’s development direction. It also functions as a utility token.

In October, the AI bot ai16z became the largest fundraiser on the platform for raising funds and trading meme coins, Daos fun.

The project is not affiliated with the well-known venture firm a16z, although its representatives support the AI agent.

In November, ai16z faced criticism following confusion surrounding the true meme coin ELIZA.
