The infrastructure blockchain platform Alchemy has formed a partnership with the Astar project to advance Web3 in the Polkadot ecosystem, according to a ForkLog press release.
The agreement will simplify the creation of dapps on Astar. Developers will gain access to Alchemy’s API to build sophisticated applications that leverage features previously unavailable on Polkadot.
The parties expect the partnership to have a positive impact on Web3 development. The Build2Earn initiative will enable developers to earn income from staking rewards.
“Support for the ecosystem […] will help attract even more incentives and innovations to the community. Our partnership will provide the resources needed to advance Web3 developers on Astar, Polkadot and beyond,” said Sota Watanabe, founder and CEO of the project.
Astar is a Polkadot-based smart contract platform designed to become a hub for decentralized applications. In December 2021, the project won the auction for the third parachain slot on Polkadot.
Founded in 2017, Alchemy offers a broad suite of tools for building decentralized exchanges and NFT marketplaces.
On the platform, non-fungible token marketplaces such as OpenSea, Dapper Labs, NBA TopShot and SuperRare have been built. Alchemy’s services are used by Coinbase, unnamed leading investment banks and multinational companies such as Adobe and PwC.
Earlier in June 2022, Alchemy launched a grant program for Web3 developers worth $25 million.
Previously the platform raised $200 million at a valuation of $10.2 billion.
