Alexander Vinnik, held in France, moved to a prison with better conditions

The Russian national Alexander Vinnik, who is being held in France, has been transferred to another prison, according to ТАСС, his lawyer Frederic Belo said.

“The conditions of detention there will be better for Vinnik, which is important given his health. This will also help us organise his defence,” he said.

He added that Russian diplomats will be able to visit Alexander Vinnik next week.

Earlier in September, the court ordered detention of the defendant pending trial.

The main hearings are scheduled for October 19–22.
